Leon Metz

Leon Metz

The 2009 evening's visit was with well-known Texas author Leon Metz, who shared memories from his writing life with WWHA President Robert G. McCubbin and members of the Association. The two old friends used humor to entertain nearly 200 who attended the event at the historic Menger Hotel in downtown San Antonio during WWHA's annual Roundup. Metz, who is from El Paso, brought the house down with stories of penning his book about infamous Texas gunman John Wesley Hardin.
